Activities and Civic Service
The 2018 Golden Arrow Twilight Camp was again a resounding success. Thank you to the District Leadership and all of the volunteers that made another week of FUN!!
Mark your calendars! District Camporee is at Trevor Rees-Jones on April 6-8, 2018.
Camporee is open to all registered Boy Scouts and their adult leaders. Webelos may attend as guests of a troop and participate in Camporee activities. Webelos must have a parent or legal guardian in attendance, at all times, while at Camporee.
Camporee is a fun-filled weekend of competition between Boy Scout Troops held every Spring. Competition patrols from each troop are suggested to be roughly 6 boys. Events are broken up into three major categories: Scouting Spirit competitions, Scout Patrol competitions, Senior Patrol competitions (boys 14 years or older), and unit competitions.

Golden Arrow holds an annual Pinewood Derby District Championship for the cub scout winners from each of the district's Packs.
This event is an exciting time for both the boys and the district. Come check out the races!!
One of the main rolls of the Activities and Civic Service Committee is to help units with Community Service. Doing service projects in our communities is not something that our Packs and Troops struggle with. The biggest struggle is logging all of the service the Scouts do.
It is important to get these hours logged. This helps your unit and the district know how we are doing in servicing our community. Just think how impact-full it is when you talk to people about your unit and tell them the actual number of service hours your Scouts contributed to our community. People are always surprised to here what young people are doing.
